Headstrong Summit
A CVR delegate attended the HEADSTRONG Summit, March 28, 2019. Groups of student leaders and teachers heard inspiring testimonials from people with a lived experience of mental health problems. Delegates challenged their own stereotypes and created a plan to combat stigma in their own schools.Congratulations CVR delegates!

The 2018 grade 7 students had a CVR day of their own on Aug. 29th. A day to orient to the surroundings and to navigate the halls, find lockers, and to meet teachers and new classmates. Aboriginal Culture Week Celebrated at CVR, 2018
Mr. Darren Bonaparte, a Mohawk author and speaker from Akwesasne presented The Wampum Chronicles.

The Truth and Reconciliation Report (Constituted and created by the Indian Residential Schools Settlement Agreement) recommended 94 Call to Actions of which Action #64 is directly related to education? As a result, 97 universities in Canada have responded with "The commitment to providing greater exposure and knowledge for non-Indigenous students on the realities, histories, cultures and beliefs of Indigenous peoples in Canada."
